Last weekend, 15^th - 16^th of September, the first ever 24h bird rally in Latvia was held - "LVM Open 2012". Rally was supported by "Latvia state forestry" ("Latvijas valsts meži") and NIKON. Four teams partcipated. Including one mixed (international) team - latvijasputni.lv. (all text will be updated soon)

Teams:

“TTT” - Edgars Laucis, Andris Avotins, Martins Briedis, Davis Drazdovskis.

“Vējš burās” - Gaidis Grandans, Valdis Adamsons, Guntis Graubics, Ugis Piterans.

“latvijasputni.lv” - Karlis Millers, Mika Bruun, Matti Koivula.

“Himantopus himantopus” - Mareks Kilups, Ivars Brediks, Marcis Tirums, Ilze Bojare.

The winner team was "latvijasputni.lv" with 137 recorded species, second place "Himantopus himantopus" - 126 species, third place "TTT" - 116 species and fourth “Vējš burās” - 100 species.
