28.02.2015. Red-breasted Goose (Branta ruficollis) 1 together with ~600 Taiga/Tundra Bean Geese (Anser fabalis/serrirostris) at Uzava river floodplain fields, Ventspils county (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). 10^th and earliest ever record for Latvia! European Golden Plover (Pluvialis apricaria) 4 together with ~80 Lapwings (Vanellus vanellus) at Kamarce meadows, Ventspils county (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). First spring migrants. Northern Hawk Owl (Surnia ulula) 1 at Riebini county (G.Grandans et al.). Present since 08.02.2015. (K.Dukule - Jakusenoka).
25.02.2015. Pintail (Anas acuta) 1 M at City Channel, Riga (D.Boiko et al.). Present at surroundings since 11.01.2015., when at Andrejsala (K.Funts). Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) 1 ad at Krievlauki, Ventspils county (J.Ashton-Booth et al.). Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus) 1 at Dundaga surroundings, Dundaga county (O.Metcalf). Probably wintering individual.
25.02.2015. Common Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna) at Mersrags harbor, Mersrags, 2 at Berzciems, Engure county (V.Adamsons, G.Saulitis). Earliest spring migrant records for Latvia! Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus) 1 at Alejas, Kekava county (K.Millers), 1 at Tukums surroundings, Tukums county (M.Kilups).
23.02.2015. Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus) at least 2 together with >60 Whooper Swans (Cygnus cygnus) at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers). Great Egret (Ardea alba) 1 at Barta river bank, Nica (S.Simsone-Buka). Probably wintering individual. Crane (Grus grus) 1 on the field at Cerkste surroundings, Engure county (U.Revalds). First spring migrants. Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) 3 (1 3cy and 2 2cy) at Getlini rubbish dump, Stopini county (I.Denisovs). 2 2cy present since 15.02.2015. (I.Denisovs).

22.02.2015. Taiga/Tundra Bean Goose (Anser fabalis/serrirostris) ~1000, Taiga Bean Goose (Anser fabalis) ~30, Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) ~10 at Nica fields, Nica county (I.Brediks, P.Daknis). Stock Dove (Columba oenas) 3 at Kolka Cape, Dundaga county (V.Adamsons), 23 (5+12+6) at Nica fields, Nica county (I.Brediks, P.Daknis). First spring migrant records for all the species. Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos) 1 at Saulkrasti (O.Opermanis). Probably wintering individual.
21.02.2015. Eurasian Bittern (Botaurus stellaris) calls of migrating bird in dark at Druviena surroundings, Gulbene county (G.Grandans). Earliest spring migrant record for Latvia! Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus) 1 locally at Skulte, Marupe county (D.Leimane). Probably wintering individual. Skylark (Alauda arvensis) 1 at L.B.T. grain terminal surroundings, 1 migrating N at Liepaja harbor N pier, Liepaja (J.Jansons). First spring migrants.
19.02.2015. Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) 5 at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). First spring migrants.
17.02.2015. Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus) 2 at Daugava river, Daugavpils (A.Erts). First spring migrants at E Latvia. Northern Harrier (Circus cyaneus) 1 ad M at Degumnieki fields, Madona county (D.Vasilevskis). First spring migrant? Stock Dove (Columba oenas) 1 at Birzgale surroundings, Kegums county (D.Boiko).

15.02.2015. Grey Goose (Anser sp.) >20 over Pape lake and at surroundings, Nica/Rucava county (I.Mednis). Greylag Goose (Anser anser) 7 at Brusviti Pape lake surroundings, Nica county (I.Mednis), 2 at Lubans lake, Madona county (D.Tucs). Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus) 6 (5 ad and 1 2cy) at Malkrogs surroundings, Aizpute county (J.Jansons). First spring migrants. Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) 3 (1 ad and 2 2cy) at Getlini rubbish dump, Stopini county (I.Denisovs). Northern Hawk Owl (Surnia ulula) 1 at Vidale, Dundaga county (A.Dekants, I.Jakovlevs et al.).

13.02.2015. Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) 1 M shortly at Pape lake N end then to N, Nica county (K.Millers). Extremely early spring migrant. Carrion Crow (Corvus corone) 1 at Atmoda blvd., Liepaja (K.Millers). Present at least since 13.11.2012, when photographed (R.Rekmanis). Presumably, the same bird who repeatedly reported from the same are but without photo since 15.10.2011. (D.Krigens). Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) >3 at Ezerkrasts meadow near bird tower, Liepaja (K.Millers). 2 individuals prsent since 28.12.2014. (K.Millers, I.Grinerte).
