Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) 1 at Jauna str., Liepaja (R.Rekmanis). Lapland Longspur (Calcarius lapponicus) at least 1 together with Yellowhammers (Emberiza citrinella) at Nica fields, Nica county (R.Rekmanis et al.). Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) 3 at L.B.T. grain terminal, Liepaja (A.Klepers). Twite (Carduelis flavirostris) 6 at Ezerkrasts wastewater pipe, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis).

24.01.2015. Horned Grebe (Podiceps auritus) 1 near Liepaja harbor N pier, Liepaja (S.Laime, D.Leimane). Present since 21.01.2015. (S.Laime, D.Leimane). Eurasian Teal (Anas crecca) 1 at Katlakalns, Riga (R.Rekmanis, U.Piterans). Jack Snipe (Lymnocryptes minimus) 1 at Sausa Daugava, Kekava county (U.Piterans, R.Rekmanis, I.Ozola). Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus) 1 together with 11 Fieldfares (Turdus pilaris) migrating S at Liepaja harbor N pier surroundings, Liepaja. All species rare during winter months.

23.01.2015. Northern Hawk-Owl (Surnia ulula) 1 at Rampa bog, Adazi county (I.Mardega). Prsumed the same as on 26.11.2014. at the same place (I.Mardega). Redwing (Turdus iliacus) 1 at Seaside Park, Liepaja (K.Millers). Rare during winter months. Linnet (Carduelis cannabina) >70 in one flock at Pulvera str., Liepaja (K.Millers). Large number at one place during winter months.

22.01.2015. Carrion Crow (Corvus corone) 1 at Ronu str., Liepaja (S.Laime). Periodically observed at Liepaja harbor S pier, Ronu str. and Seaside Park area since 09.06.2008. (I.Mednis). Twite (Carduelis flavirostris) 20 at Liepaja harbor S pier dunes, Liepaja (S.Laime, D.Leimane).

Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus) 1 shortly at Liepaja harbor N pier, Liepaja (S.Laime, D.Leimane). Presumed the same as on 03.01.2015. (E.Laucis). Carrion Crow (Corvus corone) 1 at Atmoda blvd., Liepaja (S.Laime, D.Leimane). Common Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) >250 at Liedaga str., Liepaja (K.Millers). Large number at one place during winter months.

18.01.2015. Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus) 1 together with Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus) to S at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). Little Grebe (Tachybaptus ruficollis) 2 at L.B.T. grain terminal dock, Liepaja (I.Grinerte, K.Millers). Horned Grebe (Podiceps auritus) 4 in the Baltic sea at Lavas hill, Rucava county (A.Klepers). Crane (Grus grus) 3 at Nica fields, Nica county (I.Mardega et al.). Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) 1 at at Ezerkrasts meadow near bird tower, Liepaja (J.Jansons et al.). All species rare during winter months.

17.01.2015. Glaucous Gull (Larus hyperboreus) 1 2cy at Liepaja harbor N pier surroundings, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis, K.Millers, I.Grinerte et al.). Present since 13.01.2015. (J.Jansons). Collared Dove (Streptopelia decaocto) >80 at Noliktava str., Liepaja (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). Largest known number at one place! White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) 2 at Ezerkrasts meadow near bird tower, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis et al.) One individual present since 29.12.2014. (IGrinerte, K.Millers). Meadow Pipit (Anthus pratensis) 1 at Liepaja harbor N pier surroundings, Liepaja (I.Grinerte, R.Rekmanis et al.). Rare during winter months.

16.01.2015. Merlin (Falco columbarius) 1 flew over at Kakenieki, Dobele county (I.Kilupa, M.Kilups). Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus) >10 in one flock flew over at Zirni, Saldus county (I.Kilupa, M.Kilups). Both species rare during winter months.

Purple Sandpiper (Calidris maritima) 4 on Liepaja harbor N pier, Glaucous Gull (Larus hyperboreus) 1 to SW at Liepaja harbor N pier, Liepaja (J.Jansons). Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos) 1 at Lucavsala Riga (V.Smislovs, A.Kurockins). Rare during winter months.
11.01.2015. Northern Pintail (Anas acuta) 1 M at Andrejsala, Riga (K.Funts). Eurasian Teal (Anas crecca) 1 F at Jumara river, Koceni county (A.Klepers). Woodlark (Lullula arborea) 1 at Flotes str., Riga (K.Millers). Present since 10.11.2015. (S.Laime). All species rare during winter months.

10.01.2015. Eurasian Wigeon (Anas penelope) 1 M at pier, Pavilosta (R.Rekmanis, I.Ozola). Jack Snipe (Lymnocryptes minimus) 1 flushed at Ainazi pier, Salacgriva county (A.Klepers). Both species rare during winter months. Mediterranean Gull (Ichthyaetus melanocephalus) 1 2cy in Daugava river at Kengarags, Riga (M.Riherts et al.). Present at surroundings since 28.12.2014. (U.Piterans). Woodlark (Lullula arborea) 1 at Flotes str., Riga (S.Laime). Redwing (Turdus iliacus) 1 at Riga Botanical Garden, Riga (U.Piterans). Present since 09.11.2015. (V.Ivanovs). Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos) 1 at Pavilosta (R.Rekmanis). Woodlark, Redwing and Song Thrush rare during winter months.

08.01.2015. Eurasian Teal (Anas crecca) 1 M at Daugava river near Kengarags bird tower, Riga (M.Riherts et al.). Rare during winter months.
07.01.2015. Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus) 3 at Seaside Park, Liepaja (K.Millers). Hedge Accentor (Dunnock) (Prunella modularis) 7 at Zirgu islet, Liepaja (K.Millers), 1 at Ogre (V.Roze). 7 individuals at Liepaja - largest known wintering amount at one place! Both species rare during winter months.

06.01.2015. Common Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus) 1 at Zirgu islet, Liepaja (J.Jansons). Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus) calls heard at Kesterciems, Engure county (U.Piterans). Both species rare during winter months.
05.01.2015. Eurasian Wigeon (Anas penelope) 1 at Musa river, Bauska (E.Laucis). Common Snipe (Gallinago gallinago) 1 flushed at Darzini distributary, Salaspils county (U.Piterans). Present since 22.11.2014. (U.Piterans). Both species rare during winter months.
04.01.2015. Red Kite (Milvus milvus) 1 at Saraiki manor, Pavilosta county (A.Mankus, J.Jansons). 7^th record during winter months. Black-legged Kittiwake (Rissa tridactyla) 1 ad to S at Ziemupe, Pavilosta county (R.Rekmanis, U.Piterans). Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus) 1 2cy at flooded Ezerkrasts meadow near bird tower, Liepaja (U.Piterans, R.Rekmanis). Stock Dove (Columba oenas) 41 on the treated corn field at Klaskinu bog, Iecava county (E.Laucis, G.Grandans). Present since 10.12.2014. (E.Laucis). Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus) 1 together with ~40 Fieldfares (Turdus pilaris) at Nica fields, Nica county (R.Rekmanis). Twite (Carduelis flavirostris) 13 at Silzemnieki fields, Burtnieki county (A.Klepers). All species rare during winter months.

Merlin (Falco columbarius) 1 2cy M at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers). Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) >3 at Ezerkrasts wastewater pipe, Liepaja (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). Stock Dove (Columba oenas) 1 together with >42 Collared Doves (Streptopelia decaocto) at Noliktava str., Liepaja (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus) 7 (6 + 1) at Raina park, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis U.Piterans). Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus) 1 shortly at Liepaja harbor N pier, Liepaja (E.Laucis). Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos) 1 at "Slow mile", Engure county (A.Klepers, M.Kilups). Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) 1 at Kaltene bird tower, Roja county (A.Klepers et al.). All species rare during winter months.
01.01.2015. Great Egret (Ardea alba) 1 at Mersrags channel, Mersrags (M.Tirums). Present since 30.12.2014., when 2 (U.Revalds). Red Kite (Milvus milvus) 1 at Nica fields Sejejciems surroundings, Nica county (M.Jaunzemis). 6^th record during winter months. Northern Harrier (Circus cyaneus) 2 (ad M and F/2cy), Merlin (Falco columbarius) 1, Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) 1 2cy at Nica fields, Nica county (M.Jaunzemis). Northern Harrier ad M at surroundings since 26.12.2014., when at Rude (K.Millers). Stock Dove (Columba oenas) 1 at Nica fields, Nica county (M.Jaunzemis). Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) 1 F/2cy on the seashore at Lauteri surroundings, Salacgriva county (J.Lipsbergs). 8^th record during winter months. Meadow Pipit (Anthus pratensis) 1, Water Pipit (Anthus spinoletta) 1, Rock Pipit (Anthus petrosus) 1 at Ezerkrasts meadow near bird tower, Liepaja (M.Jaunzemis). Meadow Pipit present since 31.12.2014., when on Golodova dam (G.Zembergs), Water and Rock pipits present since 28.12.2014. (K.Millers, I.Grinerte). All species rare during winter months.
