27.07.2012. White-winged Tern (Chlidonias leucopterus) 2 ad, Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybrida) 2 ad at Orenisi-Drabaki fish ponds, Rezekne county (K.Millers). Whiskered Tern present at this area since 04.06.2012. (G.Grandans).
26.07.2012. Horned Grebe (Podiceps auritus) 1 ad at Zvejsala-Lodani fish ponds, White-winged Tern (Chlidonias leucopterus) 2 ad at Orenisi-Drabaki fish ponds, Rezekne county (K.Millers). Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybrida) 2 ad at Orenisi-Drabaki fish ponds, Rezekne county (K.Millers). Present at this area since 04.06.2012. (G.Grandans). Booted Warbler (Hippolais caligata) at least 1 at Degumnieki surroundings, Madona county (K.Millers). Present at this area since 06.06.2012. (K.Millers).
24.07.2012. Short-toed Snake Eagle (Circaetus gallicus) 1 ad hunting over Adazi military landfill, Adazi county (I.Mardega).
21.07.2012. Carrion Crow (Corvus corone) 1 at Liepaja seashore, near harbor S pier, Liepaja (K.Millers). Periodically observed at this area since 09.06.2008. (I.Mednis). Sanderling (Calidris alba) 1 ad at Liepaja seashore, near harbor S pier, Liepaja (K.Millers), 4 ad at seashore N from Mersrags harbor, Mersrags (J.Jansons). Relatively early first autumn migrants records. Broad-billed Sandpiper (Limicola falcinellus) 2 ad at Pekrags, Mersrags (J.Jansons).
15.07.2012. Black Guillemot (Cepphus grylle) 1 at Liepaja harbor, Liepaja (S.Berzina). 2^nd record in summer months.
13.07.2012. Belated news - New species for Latvia. Booted Warbler (Hippolais caligata)!!! On 31.05.20120 at Ciemupe, Ogre county unknown song was recorded, which later only in July was recognized as Booted Warbler. A.Klevinskis et. al. On 03.06. at the same place 3 Booted Warblers were observed, including 2 singing males and one nest found with 3 eggs. J.Jansons, A.Mankus (at this moment information about song record wasn`t known). On 13.06. second nest was found with 5 eggs. E.Racinskis. On 02.07. pull already successfully left the first nest and in the second nest were 6 pull. K.Millers. On 6.06.2012. at Degumnieki surroundings, Madona county at least 3 Booted Warblers were observed, including 2 singing males. On 03.07. at the same place the nest was found with 6 pull. On 10.06.2012. at Degumnieki surroundings, but already in different place, 2 birds (pair) observed, including 1 singing male, and on 02.07. nest with 6 pull was found. On 05.07. at the same area at least 6 ad birds were observed. Overall in June-July at Degumnieki surroundings 8 Booted Warblers were recorded, including 3 singing males. All records K.Millers. Black-necked Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis) 6 at Orenisi-Drabaki fish ponds, Rezekne county (J.Vigulis). Present since 25.04.2012. (G.Grandans, K.Millers). Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybrida) 1 shortly in flight at Idena fish ponds, Rezekne county (F.Maulvaud, J.Vigulis). Present since 29.06.2012., when 4 Whiskered Terns observed (M.Strazds, V.Pranks).
11.07.2012. Black-throated Loon (Gavia arctica) 5 at Razna lake, Rezekne county (M.Neimanis). Rare inland in summer months. Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus) 619 at the Gulf of Riga from Apsuciems to Engure, including 289 in one flock at Kesterciems, Engure county (R.Rekmanis). Quite large number at inventory route during summer months in the sea. Red Kite (Milvus milvus) 1 at Jaunmoku surroundings, Tukums county (K.Funts). Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) 1 2cy at Engure harbor, Engure (R.Rekmanis et. al).

10.07.2012. Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) 26 in one flock at seashore near Kuivizi bird tower, Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica) 2 at Ainazi pier, 4 at seashore near Kuivizi bird tower, 1 at Kuivizi harbor, Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) 16 at Ainazi pier about at 4:30, 77 at seashore near Kuivizi bird tower about at 10:30. All records Salacgriva county (M.Strazds, I.Mardega). Common Greenshank - quite large number at one place in second part of summer - autumn, Bar-tailed Godwit - the earliest autumn migrants record for Latvia, Curlew Sandpiper - large number at one place on autumn migration.
07.07.2012. Red-footed Falcon (Falco vespertinus) 1 imm at Kolka, Dundaga county (K.Millers).
05.07.2012. Little Bittern (Ixobrychus minutus) 2 at Sunezers, Daugavpils (A.Erts). Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybrida) 3 temporarily hunting at Tervete (Gulbju) basin, Tervete county (K.Millers, A.Karklins).

03.07.2012. Little Bittern (Ixobrychus minutus) 1 at Sunezers, Daugavpils (A.Erts). Ural Owl (Strix uralensis) 2 pull at Kolka surroundings, Dundga county (M.Zilgalvis et. al). First breeding record in W Latvia (W from Riga)!
01.07.2012. Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola) 1 at Pekrags, Mersrags (M.Kruze). Rare in summer months. Possibly very early autumn migrant?
