Present since 27.03.2014. (U.Piterans, R.Slitere). Northern Pintail (Anas acuta) ~600 at Lanupe flooded meadows, Durbe county (R.Rekmanis). Large number at one place during spring migration. Red-crested Pochard (Netta rufina) 4 (2 MM and 2 FF) at Kanieris lake near the bird tower, Engure county (M.Riherts). Present since 24.032014. (U.Piterans). Red Kite (Milvus milvus) 1 at Nica fields, Nica county (L.Dakne). Firecrest (Regulus ignicapilla) 1 M singing at Ogre (V.Roze), 1 F trapped and ringed at Nereta surroundings, Nereta county (K.Funts), 1 M singing at Kraslava surroundings, Kraslava county (G.Grandans).

Red-breasted Goose (Branta ruficollis) 1 together with ~10 000 Anser sp. at Annasmuiza surroundings, Babite county (A.Klepers, J.Bobrovskis). Present since 23.03.2014. (M.Kruze).  Great White Pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus) 1 2cy photographed at Ogre railway station siting in the tree, Ogre (G.Gange). 8th record for Latvia. Lesser Black-backed Gull/Heuglin's Gull (Larus fuscus graellsii/heuglini) 1 ad at Demene rubbish dump, Daugavpils county (U.Lolans, G.Grandans, V.Ignatjevs). Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus) 1 at Mangalsala, Riga (I.Denisovs). Carrion Crow (Corvus corone) 1 at Ronu str., Liepaja (S.Laime). Periodically observed at Liepaja seashore near S pier and Seaside park area since 09.06.2008. (I.Mednis).

On 07.03.2014. at the same place ~3000 flew out from Pape lake S in seance 6:35 - 8:50 (K.Millers). Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) 1 to N at Ungurs lake, Pargauja county (A.Klepers).
