On 23.10.2018. two individuals seen (A.Mousseau). Lesser Redpoll (Acanthis cabaret) 3 1cy trapped and ringed among 240 trapped and ringed Common Redpolls (Acanthis flammea) at Lauteri, Salacgriva county (E. & V.Smislovs, J.Lipsbergs).
23.10.2018. Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres) 1 on Liepaja harbor S pier, Liepaja (A.Mousseau). Arctic Tern (Sterna paradisaea) 1 1cy at Liepaja harbor S pier, Liepaja (A.Mousseau). Late autumn records for both species.
21.10.2018. Gadwall (Anas strepera) 346 in one flock with Eurasian Wigeons (Anas penelope) and Mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) in the Liepaja lake at the end of Jauna str., Liepaja (R.Rekmanis). Largest number ever at one place in autumn! Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus) 1 1cy at Pape lake, Rucava county (V.Jaunzemis, T.Endzins). Late autumn record.

15.10.2018. Red Knot (Calidris canutus) 1 to S with 4 Dunlins (Calidris alpina) at Liepaja harbor S pier, Liepaja (K.Millers). Quite late autumn record. Pallas's Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus proregulus) 1 1cy trapped and ringed at Lauteri, Salacgriva county (G.Graubics). Mediterranean Gull (Ichthyaetus melanocephalus) 1 1cy with Black-headed Gulls (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) and Mew Gulls (Larus canus) on the field at Eimuri surroundings, Adazi county (E. & V.Smislovs), 1 1cy at Ezerkrasts meadow near Liepaja Lake, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis). 24^th & 25^th record for Latvia. Dunlin (Calidris alpina) >450 at Satini fish ponds, Saldus county (K.Millers). Largest number at one place in October. Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) 1 1cy together with Dunlins (Calidris alpina) at Satini fish ponds, Saldus county (K.Millers). Quite late autumn record, present since 13.09.2018. (K.Millers). Yellow-browed Warbler (Phylloscopus inornatus) 1 heard and later observed visually at Aizpute (R.Rekmanis).
