28.09.2013. Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus) 8 at Skrunda fish ponds, Skrunda county (R.Rekmanis, U.Piterans). Relatively early autumn migrant record. Northern Hawk-Owl (Surnia ulula) 1 at camp site "Puka rags" in Pape, Rucava county (I.Vitola).
24.09.2013. Dark-bellied Brant Goose (Branta bernicla) ca 1000 migrating NNW at Kolka Cape 7:15 - 8:30, Dundaga county (C.Kehoe). Largest known number of autumn migrants! Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus) 4 on the stubble field together with 100 Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus) at Jaunmuiza surroundings, Skrunda county (V.Farnasts). Relatively early autumn migrant record.
22.09.2013. Short-toed Snake Eagle (Circaetus gallicus) 1 migrating SW at Apriki surroundings, Aizpute county (R.Rekmanis). Pectoral Sandpiper (Calidris melanotos) 1 on the field between Apriki and Cirava, Aizpute county (R.Rekmanis). 3^rd record for Latvia. Yellow-browed Warbler (Phylloscopus inornatus) 1 at Kolka, Dundaga county (K.Millers). Red-throated Pipit (Anthus cervinus) 1 migrating at Kolka, Dundaga county (C. Kehoe, K.Millers).
21.09.2013. Short-toed Snake Eagle (Circaetus gallicus) 1 1cy at Nica fields, Nica county (G.Zembergs). Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa) 1 at Skrunda fish ponds, Skrunda county (R.Rekmanis, U.Piterans). Late autumn record. NEW SPECIES FOR LATVIA!!! Radde's Warbler (Phylloscopus schwarzi) 1 1cy trapped and ringed at Kolka, Dundaga county (K.Millers, J.Jansons, A.Mankus, C.Kehoe). Yellow-browed Warbler (Phylloscopus inornatus) at least 2 at Kolka near "Ushi", Dundaga county (C.Kehoe, K.Millers). Different birds as on 20.09.2013. Eurasian Rock Pipit (Anthus petrosus) 1 at Skrunda fish ponds, Skrunda county (U.Piterans, R.Rekmanis), 1^st inland record, 2 at Pape pier, Rucava county (M.Kilups et al.), one of the first autumn migrants record. Two-barred Crossbill (Loxia leucoptera) 4 (1 1cy localy at "Ushi" + 3) at Kolka, Dundaga county (K.Millers, C.Kehoe).




20.09.2013. Sanderling (Calidris alba) 22 at Pape lighthouse seashore, Rucava county (M.Strazds). Quite large number at one place during autumn migration. Yellow-browed Warbler (Phylloscopus inornatus) at least 2 at Kolka, Dundaga county. 1 at 7:30 (C.Kehoe), 2 at 15:30 (K.Millers, K.Kehoe). Lapland Longspur (Calcarius lapponicus) 2 at Kolka, Dundaga county (C.Kehoe).
16.09.2013. Red Kite (Milvus milvus) 1 at Grobina windmills park, Grobina county (K.Millers). Quite late autumn record.Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) 1 1cy, Heuglin's Gull (Larus fuscus heuglini) 2 3cy at Getlini rubbish dump, Stopini county (I.Denisovs).


15.09.2013. Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) 2 (2cy and 1cy) photographed at Liepaja seaside, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis, I.Ozola). Firecrest (Regulus iginicapilla) 1 seen at Pape B.O. Helgoland trap together with Common Goldcrests (Regulus regulus) but escaped, Rucava county (I.Dinsbergs). Red-throated Pipit (Anthus cervinus) 1 photographed at Kalniena, Gulbene county (B.Puspure).
10.09.2013. Eurasian Dotterel (Charadrius morinellus) 1 1cy trapped and ringed at sea shore at Mangalsala, Riga, ring A26323 RIGA LATVIA, wing length 115mm (A.Kalvans, I.Denisovs). Present since 04.09.2013. (I.Denisovs). Yellow-browed Warbler (Phylloscopus inornatus) 1 1cy trapped and ringed at Pape B.O., Rucava county (I.Dinsbergs). 1^st this autumn. Red-throated Pipit (Anthus cervinus) 1 migrating at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers). Common Rosefinch (Carpodacus erythrinus) 2 (1cy and ad M) at Ainazi, Salacgriva county (S.Laime, D.Leimane). Late autumn record.

09.09.2013. Common Shelduck (Tadorna tadorna) 1 1cy to NNE at Ogre (V.Roze). Rare inland. According to the photo the same individual as on 26.08.2013. at Daugava river near Ogre river embouchure, Ogre (A.Zacmanis). Eurasian Dotterel (Charadrius morinellus) 1 1cy at sea shore at Mangalsala, Riga (S.Rabkevics). Present since 04.09.2013. (I.Denisovs).
08.09.2013. Two-barred Crossbill (Loxia leucoptera) at least 1 1cy together with Eurasian Siskins at Smiltene (M.Tirums).
07.09.2013. Great Egret (Ardea alba) 74 at Burtnieks lake, Burtnieki county (M.Tirums). Quite large number at one place in September.
06.09.2013. Tundra Bean Goose (Anser serrirostris) 3 at Bozeni fields, Madona county (G.Grandans, U.Piterans). Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) 4 to N together with 14 Greylag Geese (Anser anser) at Nica surroundings, Nica county (K.Millers). First autumn migrants. Pallid Harrier (Circus macrouros) 1 ad M at Bozeni fields, Madona county (U.Piterans, G.Grandans). Red-footed Falcon (Falco vespertinus) 1 1cy at Kolka Cape, Dundaga county (M.Tirums). Red-throated Pipit (Anthus cervinus) at least 2 at Bozeni fields, Madona county (U.Piterans, G.Grandans).
05.09.2013. Red-throated Pipit (Anthus cervinus) 2 1cy migrating S at Vitini meadows, Grobina county (K.Millers).
04.09.2013. Eurasian Dotterel (Charadrius morinellus) 1 1cy at sea shore at Mangalsala, Riga (I.Denisovs). 9th record for Latvia.
