29.12.2015. Teal (Anas crecca) 1 F at Gauja river, Priekuli county (A.Klepers); Robin (Erithacus rubecula) 2 at Mangalsala, Riga (I.Denisovs). Rare during winter months.
28.12.2015. Tundra Bean Goose (Anser serrirostris) 1 and Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) 4 at Lielupe promenade, Jelgava (M.Rozenfelde); Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) 1 1cy at Daugava river, Daugavpils (A.Erts).
27.12.2015. Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) 1 at Mazapgulde mill lake, Dobele county; Golden Plover (Pluvialis apricaria) 132 (counted on picture) at Lidumi surroundings, Dobele county (A.Klepers); Woodcock (Scolopax rusticola) 1 flushed at Basi, Kuldiga county (A.Vejkajs). Rare during winter months.
26.12.2015. Teal (Anas crecca) 6 (4 TT un 2 MM/1cy), Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus) 5 (3 ad and 2 1cy) at Sarkandaugava distributary, Riga (I.Denisovs). Rare during winter months.
25.12.2015. Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus) 4 (3 ad and 1 1cy) together with 105 Whooper Swans at Satini fish ponds, Saldus county (M.Jaunzemis). Rare during winter months.
24.12.2015. Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus) 1 1cy at Eimuri surroundings, Adazi county (I.Denisovs). Collared Dove (Streptopelia decaocto) 27 in one flock at Eleja, Jelgava county (E. & V.Smislovi u.c.). Quite large number at one place during winter months.
22.12.2015. Gadwall (Anas strepera) 1 F at lake Kisezers, Riga (I.Denisovs).
21.12.2015. Stock Dove (Columba oenas) 30 at Ciecere village, Skrunda county (A.Mankus, J.Jansons).
20.12.2015. Gadwall (Anas strepera) 2 (M & F) at flooded Ezerkrasts meadow, Liepaja (A.Kurockins, E.Smislovs). White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) 1 at Starpinupite river estuary, Engure county (M.Riherts). Robin (Erithacus rubecula) 1 at Darzini marsh, Riga (I.Jakovlevs et al.). All species rare during the winter months.
19.12.2015. Teal (Anas crecca) 1 F/1cy at flooded Ezerkrasts meadow, Liepaja (A.Kurockins, E.Smislovs). Purple Sandpiper (Calidris maritima) 1 on Liepaja harbor N pier, Liepaja (A.Kurockins, E.Smislovs). Both species rare during the winter months.
16.12.2015. Anser/Branta Geese (Anser/Branta sp.) >55 incl. Tundra Bean Goose (Anser serrirostris) >25, Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) >5, Greylag Goose (Anser anser) >13, Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis) 4; Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus) >37; Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus) ~300 (total number of several flocks) local at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers). Teal (Anas crecca) 1 M/1cy at Sarkandaugava, Riga (E. & V.Smislovs). Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus) 2 ad MM and 1 F/1cy at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers). Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) 2 at Ezerkrasts meadow near bird tower, Liepaja, >40 local at Nica fields, Nica county (K.Millers). All species rare during the winter months.

15.12.2015. Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus) 2 FF/1cy at Kalngale fields, Carnikava county ( E. & V.Smislovs). Belated news. Booted Eagle (Aquila pennata) 1 long staying imm bird at Lielie Strodi surroundings at least since 03.07.2015. till 28.07.2015., Varaklani county (J.Jesko, species ID U.Bergmanis). 3^rd record for Latvia!
14.12.2015. Purple Sandpiper (Calidris maritima) 1 1cy at Kolka Cape, Dundaga county (M.Ievins).
13.12.2015. Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) 1 local, Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) ~300 local, European Golden Plover (Pluvialis apricaria) ~1000 local at Uzava river floodplain fields, Ventspils county (R.Rekmanis). Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus) 1 1cy migrating S at Akmensrags, 1 1cy local at Pavilosta harbor, Pavilosta (R.Rekmanis). Sandwich Tern (Thalasseus sandvicensis) 1 at Mersrags (J.Silinevics). Presumed the same as on 06.12.2015. at Engure harbor, Engure (R.Matrozis, V.Smislovs, A.Kurockins). All species rare during the winter months. Common Murre (Uria aalge) 6 migrating S at Akmensrags, Pavilosta county (R.Rekmanis). Skylark (Alauda arvensis) 1 local at Uzava river floodplain fields, Ventspils county (R.Rekmanis). Rare during the winter months.

Tundra Bean Goose (Anser serrirostris) 1, Wigeon (Anas penelope) 1 in Daugava river at Kengarags, Riga (M.Riherts); 2 at Mersrags sea shore, Mersrags county (V.Smislovs, R.Matrozis, A.Kurockins). Horned Grebe (Podiceps auritus) 2 at Liepaja harbour S pier, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis). Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus) 1 ad M heading NW at Klidzina, Skriveri county (I.Jakovlevs). Sandwich Tern (Thalasseus sandvicensis) 1 1cy at Engure harbor, Engure (R.Matrozis, V.Smislovs, A.Kurockins). All species rare during the winter months.
05.12.2015. Wigeon (Anas penelope) 12 at Ezerkrasts, Liepaja (R.Rekmanis). Common Crane (Grus grus) 1 at Siksni, Rucava county (A.Ozolins). Rare during the winter months.
04.12.2015. Woodcock (Scolopax rusticola) 1 flushed at Zana parish, Saldus county (V.Kveksis). Rare during the winter months.
03.12.2015. Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis) 46 migrating NW, Jurmala (A.Kurockins, O.Mizinenko, V.Smislovs). Late migrant record.
02.12.2015. White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) 1 at Mangalsala pier, Riga (I.Denisovs). Rare during the winter months.
01.12.2015. White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) 1 1cy at Kolka Cape, Dundaga county (M.Ievins). At this place since 30.11.2015. Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla) 1 M at Neibade, Saulkrasti county (A.Mardega, U.Mardegs). Present since couple of weeks.
